Wider Wheels and Tires On Rear?

Wider Wheels and Tires On Rear?
Has anyone put wider wheels and tires on the rear vs the front? Curious to know what effects, if any, were found by doing so? Better handling or grip? Did the car have to be tubbed to fit the wider wheels/tires? Any suggestions on ideal wheel size for best performance and handling? Thanks.

If you go to American Muscle (one of our sponsors) you can see what they offer for "staggered" tires/wheels. These combinations do not require any modifications to your Mustang.
I purchased one of these sets for my '97 and the difference is significant. The Nitto 555's turned out to be an excellent choice for me, plus they look awesome. They are sticky, so if you like smoking tires, you may start breaking weak drive line parts.
Even if you don't want one of these sets, at least you will know what tire/rim sizes will fit without issues.
