First mod advice?
Mod bug is starting to hit me and I figured the best place to start was either a CAI or axleback.
For the CAI I'm looking at the AEM or K&N(with the plastic tube) since they are both closed boxes and Florida weather seems bad for an open intake and my hood vents. The AEM worries me because of the metal intake tube(will it get hot and be counter productive?) and, from the install video I saw, the rubber seal you put on the box to seal around the tube looks cheap. For the K&N I dislike the deletion of the sound tube and I have read that the stock engine cover does not fit with the new hoses it uses.
For exhaust I like Magnaflow a lot, just not sure what sound I want. I like loud without being stupid loud when under barely any acceleration. I also like more tone and depth than rasp and pop. Aside from the Magnaflow Street and Competition axlebacks the RTR seems like a good choice since, from my understanding, it is just a Magnaflow chamber/flow through combo. Anyone have experience with these systems on how loud they are or how much they drone?
Thanks in advancd for the feedback!

Save your money on the CAI, unless you looking for aesthetics. You'd do better with a SCT 93 octane tune dedicated to stock air box. When purchasing the CAI with the tune, you get most benefit in gain from the tune itself. I have run a best of 12.18 @ 111, with stock air box, stock exhaust, and stock goodyear F1's, with a 93 octane tune. The sound tube is another cheap looking POS hose that can be removed, unless you're turned on by the sound of the air coming in.
