But I agree with this^^^ and I always had jap bikes except for a Ducati a long time ago and the Guzzi I have now.
But Guzzi turned 100K +miles before the japs did it so there is a little irony in this.

5w50 isn't going to cause excessive oil pressure in a 5.0, it's recommended on the track pack optioned cars. I'm not sure what you consider excessive pressure or what you think more pressure is going to harm.

I would absolutely run a 5w40 in the new 5.0, especially here in Florida and with the way I drive.

Wife just came back 2 days ago (I couldn't go)...
Went with friends, they did the Dragon 3 times!!! Lol.

I like September best... Still warm and not rainy yet.
