Default Installation charge too high?

I plan to get Konis for my 2012 GT. Before getting the shocks, I am shopping around for installation charge. I receive one quote for $220 for the front strut as only the front is avaible from Tire Rack for now. The guy told me the labor is for 2 1/2 hours of work. That seems too long just for the front alone. How much is a fair price for both front and rear? Many thanks!

to me that actually seems about right for the front. If it were the back then yea no way. But the front that is about right. Alot more involved in removing the front ones.

Took me 2.5 hrs to do my complete suspension, Koni Sport Shocks/struts, GT500 USM's, BMR Springs, LCA Relo's, Adj Panhard, and BBR Billet LCA's. I'd say that's too high unless they're including an alignment.

May be a tad high on the labor quote, unless it includes an alignment.

Wouldn't be too hard to do front and back yourself with basic hand tools, jack stands, and a jack. Just need to rent a spring compressor for the struts from Autozone/Oreillys. Save a couple hundred bucks and only cost you a few hours.

Easy to do yourself, plus you get to buy tools. You can do it without a pass through socket set but its a lot easier if you buy a set. We had a crew of 6 guys come over, lift the car, and had all 4 corners plus panhard and control arms installed in 2 hours. Drive down here and we can do it for you.
