Default 5.0 Issues / shuts off / runs rough

I currently am driving a 2012 5.0 and have had several issues in the last few months.

The first sign of trouble was a total loss of power while turning at a light. While downshifting into 3rd the engine lost all power and stalled on the side of the road. The engine would not start for several minutes but then finally started back up. I took it to the dealer and they found a fuel pump error and replaced the fuel pump.

The same thing occured again - this time at a light at a busy intersection - the dealership replaced ECU this time since the fuel pump error made no sense.

The engine stopped again about ten days ago but then has not shut off since but now the vehicle seems sluggish and runs rough while letting off the gas or only applying a little gas. I am about to take it back to the dealer, has anyone else experienced similar problems?

Do you have any mods that require wiring into any factory wires. Almost sounds more like an electrical problem somewhere do to the erratic nature of you problem.

No modifications - everything is stock - I have the 100,000 mile warranty, but the car only has about 14,000 miles on it. In talking to the dealer today he said the computer might need an update or something - feel like those guys are just stabbing in the dark at these issues.

Sounds like maybe a loose ground or something. That's just my .02. I say just keep taking it to the dealer and make sure you're getting your free rental car for up to 5 days for every time you take it in. All-else fails, call Ford Customer Service. (Dealerships HATE getting THE call from Big Ford asking why they haven't resolved an issue by the third try.

I say find a dealership that has techs that know what they're doing.

I had a problem similar to this, and I ended up finding out I had a bad Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). I would clean the Mass Air Flow and Throttle Body like the guy above me said, and if that doesnt work you could look into the TPS.

Honestly and not to sound rude pls dont take it that way. But if you have full warrantee and no mods. I would go to Ford and let them do whatever they think. After the 3rd fail if there is a third. Lemon law the car. Dont risk doing something to fix yourself based on forum advise only to have some dome Ford tech void your warrantee cause you worked on it.
