Hey everyone, I just had my Borla ATAK catback with x-pipe installed and the passenger side mid pipe is hitting the frame right where the pipe goes over the axel. Has anyone experienced this. I've taken my car back to where I got it installed and they did everything they could to try and get some clearence and it is still hitting. It's just very annoying and frustrating knowing that I've spent $1440 on an exhaust and it doesn't fit properly.

 

Yeah I have this issue with my Stainless Works, I don't know how the Borla are but mine are 3 inch pipe and it just is a tight fit. I had my hangers tac welded and it fixed it :P Although it does vibrate at low rpm mainly cold starts but then goes away.

I have heard to make it work right they need to loosen everything up and have two people line it up then someone else tighten it back down.

Or maybe just see about tac welding...

 

The Borla's are 2.75", not that it makes a difference lol. Geez, I'm just frustrated and bummed out.

 

Meh don't dwell on it to hard :P Tac weld really would stop it I think. Does it make a clank clank sound when your hitting bumps and stuff?

 

It rattles on the frame when I'm just driving around town or slightly turning. Today when I was driving it just rattled going in a straight line on a smooth road. When I made a U-turn it sounded like it was going to rattle off the car lol.
