I never intended to keep this car stock. Maybe my mistake isn't the modding but the $10/month I'm spending on the B2B instead. Honestly, many other things can go wrong with the car to allow the warranty to pay for itself, say AC.

I understand/agree with you 100% that if something happens, I would have a near impossible fight on my hands. Luckily, I don't plan on anything crazy that would put my drivetrain at a greater risk.

Why would you spend money on a 7 year B2B and put it at risk by modding the car?
Would you ask the same question to someone who purchased a new 2014 and intended to mod it before the factory 3yr warranty expired?

No, because that's the factory warranty already built into the price. You added warranty cost when your intention is to do things that may make that cost wasted money.

That makes perfect sense. Hopefully it'll never be an issue and it'll be wasted money anyways =)

I've had a small slough of little things, other than the major trans repair. A shock started leaking out back recently, the end links started clunking and it's been through two GPS antennas within a year. All repaired under the factory b2b fortunately. Doesn't totally inspire confidence, though.

I guess the 100+ full slick launches at the track might have something to do with the suspension stuff, if I'm honest....

Maybe you'd like to throw in your 0.02 on my suspension questions:

Mine's stock BBP suspension, with a Roush upper and UMI cheapo LCAs to help out with the hop. No hop now and handles perfectly fine for me, on real roads. 1.6 60 foots on slicks.

You'll almost always get more out of modifying the nut behind the wheel first.

Yes I know. But why learn on a stock platform when I can buy a handicap? haha!

Want a little more body roll control on the cheap? A set of Energy suspension swaybar bushings and links will increase the bars' effectiveness for about $50, front and back.
