I have a 2012 GT Automatic and I've noticed some times lately that my oil pressure gauge has been dropping and the light coming on when I'm in gear and stopped and when I start driving again it goes off and the gauge goes back up

You have one of two problems. Either you are more than a quart low or your oil pressure pump is starting to fail.

I have plenty of oil in it and if the pump wasn't working wouldn't the lifters be making noise from lack of oil being pumped up to them

Not necessarily evidentially. Your pump is working, just not good. It's hard to imagine that the oil pressure sensor is failing as they seem to work or not work. If it were me I would take it to a reputable shop or dealer and have them run a oil pressure test.

Ok there is a performance shop he that I goto I will take it there

Good luck, hopefully it will be something simple and not the pump. Let us know what happened.
