or do you have to buy the rebuild kit that includes the carbon fiber discs?? thanks ahead of time.

That Trac-Lok comes with the standard discs. For a 31-spline with carbon-fiber discs already installed, you would need the Eaton unit: http://www.americanmuscle.com/eaton-...-posi-lsd.html
