What's the difference?
and do you think I would need a capaciter for that amp or do you think i would be fine? And if so how do you hook up a capaciter do you just run it to the battery then to the amp and what slot does it go into the amp. Thanks for all the help man.
a cap is more like a band aid for a system it will help out some but its always better to get a better battery or a better alt or both.once you drain the power out of the cap your wasting all you juice out of the alt to try to charge up the cap.Instead of buying the cap upgrade to a bigger and better batt but if you already have the cap put it in when you get the amp and see if it helps.A cap is easy to hook . you just take the power wire in the back [the one going to your batt]and hook it up to the pos+ on the cap and you can hook another power wire from the cap to your pos+ on the amp and just ground the cap to body or frame and thats it
one of the more noticable differences between a mono amp and a multi-channel amp is that most mono's these days are class d design and most multi-channel amps are a/b design. most audiophiles like myself will use a/b over class d but class d are generally more efficient but sq will suffer. however, GENERALLY SPEAKING, most people will not care or even notice the difference between the 2 when used for subs. on the front stage tho the difference is day and night.
