Default Length of RCA cables?

hey guys, this is my first post but i've been lurking for a few weeks, so i can tell you guys know what you're talking about. I just bought a '96 GT and i'm about to
wire a JL Audio 500/1 and 300/4 amp in the trunk. I was wondering how long my RCA cables need to be, if any of you can remember off the top of your head.

I was thinking i would need at least 18', but i saw a great deal on a set of 12' ones, so i just wanted to make sure.

Thanks guys!

17-20 feet should be plenty.

I don't think the 12' cables are going to be long enough. I used 6m cables and while long enough I wish they were just a little bit longer.
