fox wiring diagram (cd player install)
sorry for the delay, been a long week at work....
drivers +--------orange/green
divers - ---------black/white
divers rear +----pink/green
rear - ----blue/orange
pass + -----------white/green
pass - ------------black/white
pass rear + ------pink/blue
pass rear - ------green/orange
These colors may or may not be right, you will need to test then either way. Take a volt meter or test light first and check all the wires for +12v constant, as well as +12v switched. and then with the lights on. You need to identify your +12 constant, +12v switched and the dimmer wires. It is better to ground the radio to the chassis, but the cig lighter can work(outside) as well.
After these wires are found, take a battery (AA-D) and put one speaker wire to one side fo the battery, and the other to the other side. If you have the correct wires you will hear the speaker make a "pop". As long as you do not hold the wires to the battery, you will not hurt the speaker. If you do not hear anything then try another wire.
You could also have a premium sound system, is there a octaganol shaped box with a bunch of holes in it at the bottom of the dash?

Why is it there no one ever has a decent wiring diagram for these cars? Even the one in my Haines is bull****. I need one bad for my '88 (previous owner cut it) and I can't find one anywhere.
