FOUND THE POWER DRAIN!!! Turns out when i put in the new voltage regulator, it has to be bulted in place before powering up, since it gets its ground from being bolted to the chassi. Well, i didn't bolt it down when i first installed it, i just plugged it in and fired it up to see if it would make any difference. Well when i did that it blew the damn thing and caused the drain. So i got a new one, installed it properly, and walla, its all good.
