Default 1987 Radio Removal???

I'm trying to remove the original headunit from my 1987 GT. i've got the little things that go into the holes, but i pull and all that jazz and don't get anywhere, its almost like something is screwed in somewhere in the back not allowing it to come out. Can anyone give me some insight as to how it comes off, ie removing the dash or something???

thanks,
jeff

Default RE: 1987 Radio Removal???

you need to slide them in till they click, about 3/4 inch. Then you spread them away from each other, and the radio will be free. If your radio has the the holes for the tool that is the only way ford ever mounted them. THey are not screwed in unless a previous owner did so.
