i have a 2000, i have bought 2 different radio install kits. when i hook them up the power comes on but nothing comes out the speakers. i know if u have a factory amp u have to use an interface, but i dont think i have a factory amp, or do i? i heard there a pain to install to.

that factory amp should be visable, about the size of a bible and silver. I remember my stuff being super easy to install.

make sure that none of the speakers are shorting out, if one is shorted the deck will normally turn its output off to keep from frying. If you are sure all of that is good, make sure that you have the remote turn on wired to the amp turn on.
