Default Switched Voltage?

Hi all

I recently hooked a couple of items upto the switched voltage wire (yellow I think) on my harness for the shaker but after I took my keys out of the ignition today I checked the voltage and it was still live, I thought it would go straight off.

Is there a delay of the switched voltage for it to go off or should it go to 0v soon as the ignition is off or door open?

Thank you

Stuart

Those colors I gave you are for an aftermarket radio. With the stock I believe it is black with red strip (At least it use to be)
