Default Wireing amp in a 2001 convertible

WHats the best way to get the power wire and RCA to the trunk of a 2001 mustang convertible? Also what is the best thing to hook the power wire up to... the battery directly or is there another place better to hook up the wire?

power wire HAS to go to the battery. Getting it through to the trunk will not be as hard as getting it through the firewall. To get past the trunk pop out the back seat and one of the side panels and you will see.

In a vert it's pretty easy to get it into the trunk. There's a decent spot you can get it through right behind the glove box in the firewall, just open up the grommet a little bit and run it through. Once you have it through, remove the molding on the floor under the door and run it rhough the side panels into the trunk. Make sure you run your rca's on the other side of the car or you will recieve interference from engine revs. Power has to go to the battery, use 4 gauge wire. YOu can always add a block to split it off if you go with more amps, but only if you start with 4 gauge.
