I have underbody LED's no one really says anything to me. If you have a car that can walk like it talks then I see no problem with it. It's like Chuck Liddel wearing pink. No one will say a word to him.

As long as you instal them right, dont not mount them so you can see the bulbs thats so tacky and makes you look like a tool. If you are going to do it do it right. I make fun of anyone who leaves their bulbs showing. There's a reason it's called under body. Come to think of it maybe thats why no one ever says anything to me about them because I did mine right.

Not only the fact that showing bulbs looks bad, but here in my city besides Blue and Red being illegal colors to use...having bulbs showing is also illegal. The main problems I had is that, they make people look at your car. It's hard not to, which is why RICERS use them. This attention also carries over to the police, and here where I live it almost makes them want to pick on you. I no longer have mine on, but I soon will again. I had green ones, they looked pretty good. That was basically all I had though for extreme body asthetics.

Most people consider them rice simply because they tend to be associated with those people, or they are simply very traditional and like the (not to say old fashioned look), but just straight up power. Underlights don't really show power and rumbling and mean, otherwise you'd probably see them on classics in the Muscle Car era, when power was what it was all about. Underglow tend to be synonomous with speed and style, which for many of the late model owners is how they drive...it's becoming less and less of a naturally aspirated engine world. These are the days of superchargers, chips, and computer tuning. I think you'll be fine, there are many more Mustangs with underlights, and other "rice features" out there then you would expect. Just don't say they add 25HP or put a coffee can on your exhaust.
