Default Spekar set-up/brand selections

I'm replacing my shaker 500 in my 05 and I'm wondering what you all have done for speaker set up's. I'm replacing everything so, as of now I got a deal on a JL 500/1 amp as well as an Alpine MRV F545 so I will be working with those wattages. Obviously a sub in the trunk (any brand suggestions, thinking Polk SR 12inch or JL 12W6V2), and then replacing the rear 5x7's with maybe a 5 1/4 inch round speaker as I've heard the bass on the 5x7 sounds a bitt off sometimes. Then the front is where I'm really stuck on, I could get some 8 inch mid bass speakers to replace the subs and then a nice two way speaker to replace the 5 x7's, or I would get a 6 1/2 inch component set up with the woofer in the 8 inch spot and the tweeters where the 5 x7's are. Would a mid bass speaker be necessary, the sub in my trunk will have 500 watt's going to it so bass wont be a problem, I just want to make sure I have high quality mid range punch. As far as specific speaker suggestions, I was thinking MB Quartz or the very high end Polk SR components or maybe Cliff Design. Thoughts?

Choose carefully on what to put in place of the door subs. You only have about 3.5" of depth in there along with some side clearance issues. Take the door panel off and remove the sub. Take a look and measure before you buy anything. I have installed Kicker 8"Comp VR's in the door, but had to get custom spacer rings to extend the depth.
