It's a jensen...But seriously, if you know the unit is getting good power and has a good ground, could be the unit itself going bad.

fuses do not go on and off. Does it do this when you hit a bump or just on its own? Turn on power to the radio and see if you can recreat the problem by moving radio or the wires on the back of the radio. Then take some time to see if you can isolate which wire is causing the power problem.

it does it on its own. i tried moving the radio and wires to fix the problem but it still does it. im thinking theres not a good power supply because its wired to my solenoid. could i wire it staright to my battery?

You can wire straight to your battery but as long as the wiring is correct, going to the solenoid shouldn't matter. I usually just test for a positive and splice into the wire myself.

there are two power wires. The red +12v switched wire goes to the selenoid and tells the radio when the key is on. The yellow +12V constant supplies the power to the radio when the key is on. It could be a voltage problem but you would need to meter it to find out.
