Default mach to shaker compatibility

I'm sure there is someone out there who has wondered this, or has access to wiring diagrams to figure it out. I have a 04 GT with factory Sirius installed by me, I bought the kit after I purchased the car. I am considering upgrading to an 06 or 07, but here in Canada they do not offer satellite radio yet (I bought the original in Texas). I would like to just move my existing kit over to the new car. I have searched and found a couple of pictures of the back of the new Shaker radios, both 500 and 1000, and they have the same connector configuration as my existing Mach 460 radio has. In fact they look like the exact same connectors! (FYI my MACH has the SAT button). So it looks like there shouldn't be a problem, but I would like to make sure before I remove the kit from my existing car for no reason! Thanks for the help.
