Default installed new cd player, need help

I installed a new sony cd player because my 6disc got totally messed up, and everything works fine until you turn it up... The speakers in the front seem to crackle and cant handle it. But with the 6 disc it seemed it was alot louder and didnt have any problems. Could this be due to bad wiring or what?

What head-unit did you put in it? Without being able to hear it, you're probably clipping the tweeters (#1 way to blow them up, but with stock Ford speakers you won't be losing much, lol) Best thing to do is keep the volume low until you get better component speakers, Ford speakers are pretty crappy.

check out page 2 of my cardomain page in my sig. It shows (IMO after 10+ yrs installing) the best way to integrate into the car. I assume you left all the speakers and wires the same?

you need to connect the remote turn on from the deck to the amp turn on in the hrns. It will be REALLY easy to blow those front speakers (top)off of the deck power playing full range. Invest a couple of bucks into a set of capacitor/x-overs and they will last and sound descent enough until you want to replace them....
