RE: quick wiring question
Drive and Play is the H/K version of an iPOD adapter.
The EIA wiring standard code for the colors of wires is:
Yellow - Power (on all the time)
Red - Accessory Power (switched with ignition)
Black - Ground
Not sure what color the wires are in the original harness. Black is pretty much always Black (or sometimes Black with Grey stripe)
For the 460 system, the Power wire is Violet with a Light Blue Stripe and the Accessory Power wire is Black with a pink stripe. You could test the wires with a VOM, unless someone else here knows the color code of the factory harness for your specific unit.

RE: quick wiring question
You don't have the MACH, but you do have the CD Changer? I don't know for sure, but I would assume the wiring harness is the same for the Mach as the Premium, as far as power connections goes. There are two plugs, one is for the Power / Ground, the other is for the Speakers. Metra only sells one kit for the 2000 model year, so the wiring has to be the same pin out for Both. The power/ground connector will have the wires you need in it. The Power wire is Violet with a Light Blue Stripe and the Accessory Power wire is Black with a pink stripe. You could test the wires with a VOM. Connect the meter across the Violet/Blue connector to the Black wire. You should have +12V. Then, turn on the key and connect across Black and Black/Pink. You should have +12 with the key on and 0 with the key off. The Violet Blue is the one to tap for Yellow and the Black/Pink is the one to tap for Red.
Good Luck.
