Default dimmer issue

So I checked and didnt see anything on this issue, i think im just missing something. When I installed my head unit / stereo (complete overhaul on 2000 mach system) my dash lights stoped working. Head lights still work, and fuses are good. When I removed the old wireing could i have pulled something?

Sounds like a fuse. There is a dimmer wire behind the radio that you might have shorted out. When you say you checked the fuses, do you mean you checked ALL the fuses or just the ones that you think would be blown? sometimes circuits are looped through others and fuses you would not suspect are popped, and don't forget the fuses under the hood by the battery.

i did check the ones under the hood... and no i did not check them ALL... just the ones i thought it might be... I guess i will go through them all, and if thats not it, see if i might have cut the wrong wire in removing the old radio... thanks a lot for your help...
