? for audio people
One good 12 or 15 in a dual ported box or bandpass will do just fine.
I have 2 15" comps , 4000 watts power, 0 guage wiring and Capacitor.
Problem,
my headliner dropping pieces of itself, and car cant stay running, so I need a 200 amp alternator upgrade .

honestly jl audio is the "end all be all" of car audio i have one 15" w3-d4 in my hatch with a homemade fibergalassed box and i drown out every multi speaker setup i come across. so re-think the kicker alpine route dude. you gotta pay the cost to be the boss.

JL is an all around sq sub. The type R's and L7's are geared more toward spl. I've owned all 3. If you listen to mainly rap/bass, then I would suggest the type R's. The other two are very capable. The only prob I have with the L7's is I thought the bass response was kind of sloppy. The JL's as I said have better sound quality, but are a bit pricy. It's more of a personal preference. Whichever you decide on, make absolutely sure you have a custom enclosure built to the specs of the sub!!!!!!! DO NOT USE PREFAB!!!!!!! One type R 12 would be just fine with that being said. There are many ppl that has hit 150DB on a TL with one.
Go audiobahn! Expensive but hard as hell to blow! Been running mine for 3 years!

I run an alpine amp man. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-HNlgghS...0&I=500MRDM105 I'm not here to argue with you, i'm just giving the guy options. My system has been running perfect for 3 years and sounds incredible and looks good too.
