? for audio people
JL is the way to go. Those L7's are badass subs, the only problem is that they wear out faster because of the square VC, it rubs differently than a round sub, and they wear out too quick. Go with 1 JL W7 or W3, in a nice ported box, and with the right amp it'll hit hard. I got 2 15's, on a 600D, and i wanna go down to 1 12 in a ported box, it sounds cleaner.
i have heard audiobahn was pretty cheesy.. i'm not into rap that much.. the ocasional song is good.. but.. i can get just as much bass out of a pantera song as most rap songs have.. i know i have a crappy sub with a crappy amp.. just a 10 inch infinity refrence sub in a single 10 ported q-logic box and a really crappy "800 watt" ( [sm=rolleyes.gif] )legacy amp (now there is a flea market special.. but it was louder then my 760 watt pioneer that i had so go figure).. and that is more then enough bass for my taste... i'm actually gonna get rid of it though.. i can hear a best song if i just push down on the gas pedal a little harder.
I've got the king of all sound systems!!! lmao :::as I roll my eyes:::
JVC KD-G800 head unit (this is actually a really good head unit)
two 6x9 infiniti reference speakers in the back (these are great speakers)
Pioneer GM-X862 760w amp w/ mosfet power system (it works good, I got it for 40 bucks from a buddy of mine, still looks brand new)
10" Dual 375w sub (obviously I wasn't going after tons of bass, just needed more depth to the music and a little rumble when the bass hits)
I don't like a ton of bass though, I'm more into sound clarity.
