capacitor light...

Default capacitor light...

i just got a new system installed in my '65. When i turn my car completly off the capacitor lights stay on. and i was wondering, is the capacitor light suppose to turn off when the car is completly off?.... if so what should i do??..

Most cap's with monitor tops activate anytime there is a change in system voltage, and then turn off when there has been no chamge in system voltage for about 10 minutes being the average.

Capacitors are basically batteries. They store power for when your system "needs" it. Since they store their own power it should take some time for that energy to disapate.
