im installing an dvd/7" lcd touchscreen and was just wondering if there would be any benefits to also keeping in my cd/mp3 HU?

 

Is it the Pioneer Avic-z1? I am getting it installed in January

 

no im just getting a cheap dual for now that has gotten some good reviews for the price, it should work for now...but need to know if there would be any benefit to keeping my pioneer cd player?

 

Well, possible resell? Or if the new flipout doesn't work then you will need to have a cd player while it's being returned...

 

Put it up on ebay...youll get about 13 bucks hehheheee.

 

im not comptemplating selling it...but ive seen cars that have both an lcd/dvd player...as well as the cd player installed below it...and i was just wondering what the advantage of that would be..

 

Not sure......But is the DVD player plays mp3's I see no reason for you to keep the stock cd player. With the 07 that I have its either or coz the stock CD player is the same size as the indash DVD. Are you talking about a flip out LCD screen?? Its always cool to keep the stock though so just in case you decide to sell your car you can pull out the DVD player.
