best bulbs?
How u doing guys? I just won some nice euro clear headlights plus corners for my 96 stang red auto. They dont come with bulbs so Ill have to get a some good pairs and maybe the corner ones to match the front ones ( I already got some blueish fog ones, they are brighter than the headlights itself lol ) well..i been looking into sylvania bulbs. they have various versions, from ultravison, to blue and some other ones. i would like to know which ones look the best in a stang..i mean, im sure any one of those will provide me with much longer illumination..i just want some opinions on which ones are good, best bang for the buck and look nice on euro clear headlights in a red stang..thanks for the info guys
PIAA bulbs are the best, better than Silverstars. They're a bright, white light, and are commonly used for Rally cars to help light up the tracks when they're racing through low light or nighttime racing. Many desert racers use PIAA lights as well, because of their brightness.
However, PIAAs are also expensive compared to many of the Sylvanias, so don't be surprised at the price.
Silverstars are probably what I would consider the next step down from PIAAs, again having a higher price tag than some of the other Sylvania bulbs. However, they produce a whiter light than the rest of the Sylvania line (stock bulbs have a yellowish cast to them) and do actually throw out a brighter light than the stockers. HOWEVER! They do NOT last as long as a stock bulb. I went through 2 sets of them on my Saturn in 5 years before I got rid of the car...But they're a great bulb and just about every auto parts store I've been in carries them, whereas the PIAAs seem to only be carried in specialty stores.
