i just got these subs... http://www.crutchfield.com/S-z4p5d8E...p;I=206DCVR102
I really need help picking an amp however.. I was told that the kickerzx400 would not be enough power for these. any other suggestions. thanks

well you cant go wrong with a highphonics amp i herd they are super powerful, and also any big name brand usaly makes good stuff like sony but id say be careful if you go with a rockerfosgate i herd they dont make the best stuff, also check out the jl audio 1000/1 or 500/1 i herd they kick hard, and check out the kicker amps and dual amps i dont think dual or kicker are the greatest but i herd they are arlight for those subs, and i know that the jl audio 1000/1 or 500/1 will power that thing so well it will probly blow it if you dont turn the amp down though.
Yea imthinkin circuit citys information is incorrect. the total impedance of those two subs is either 4ohm or 1ohm total not 2. Those are DVC subs. The kicker comps are SVC so maybe they're confused with those. You should go with something that can put out 600rms at 1ohm. or something close. The hifonics brutus bxi606d will match perfectly..which i seem to be recommending a lot lately it just so happens. lol or any other amp you might find that does 600rms at 1ohm will do the trick.
I think each sub is DVC 2ohm.The model number for the 10" CompVR 2ohm is 05CVR102, which is what it says on the Crutchfield page. If this is true, the total impedance for 2 2ohm DVC subs would be .5ohms, 2ohms, or 8 ohms. That is why I suggested 600WRMS @ 2ohms, because finding an ampthat isstable at.5ohms is pretty hard.
