AMP HELP
HEY GUYS I HAVE A JL 12W3V2-D4, THE THING IS I HAVE MY DECK IN AND SUB RCA CABLES RAN. ALL I NEED NOW IS AN AMP BT HERE IS THE THING, IM GOING TO BE ADDING 1 OR 2 MORE SUBS SO I NEED AN AMP I CAN ADD TO. ALSO IF I DO DECIDE TO JUST STAY WITH ONE WHAT WOULD I NEED TO LOOK FOR TO MATCH A SUB TO AMP?
I was running 3 JL12W3d2's with a Phoenix Gold 1200.1. It was very reliable, clean, and had more than enough power. One great feature is that it puts out the same power between 1-4 ohm loads. Is a great amp to have if you are looking to add more subs. Gives you a lot of flexibility. I wouldn't say per se you have to match amp/sub, justmake sure the combo is optimal for the situation you want. Such as what load you would be running would have an effect on what power amp is putting out. But, brand-wise, it really doesn't matter to a point. You don't want unreliable/overrated junk. It mostly is install, especially the sub enclosure. Also making sure gain is set correctly.
