I don't recommend such things forsound. Haven't looked carefully, but those type of items will "listen" to the signal and "add" what it thinks is the appropriate bass enhancement (usually will create reallyboomymushy sound)

I used to be into equalizers, and bass boosters many, many years ago. When I finally learned how to actually USE an equalizer........I threw it away. For the most part, leave the signal alone, and just add amplification to "boost" the signals you want more of (example: bass) and leave the signal flat. With all that said, I will use the eq in Nero at times to correct those examples of poor cd mastering orbad engineer workin studio (example being Van Halen "5150").

well i've listened to a few setups with epicenters and they sound awesome! it works better for songs that you cant really hear the bass. other songs dont need this like rap but other ones do. i just wanted to know which of the two epicenters works best for my setup. thanks

the only difference I see in them is one has 132 DB's of seperation and the other is 130. This is because the one with the higher(132dB) has a lower signal to noise ratio, so it is cleaner, doesn't add as much noise. Will you hear the difference in 2 db's? Probably not.

If you are wanting more bass i would probably recommend the PG bass cube. It doesn't add bass notes like the epicenter but is a singll band parametric bass EQ. It will allow you to select a frequency and then boost that frequency, as well as adding a subsonic filter and bumping the output voltage to 9v I think. You can find the new on ebay for $100, used for cheaper. Its a bassheads dream........

That stuff is just hocus pocus. If you can't hear bass on a song, its the installation. There is a possibility it could be your sub, but more then likely its the installation.

there are some songs that have bass but they dont have enough and thats where the epicenter kicks in. i plan on turning it up only for those songs cause the rest have plenty of bass.

Seriously, A flat frequncy response is hard in a car, but it all depends on the installtion.
