Default Soundstream?

I've been running a soundstream 340.2 (pretty close at least) to a 8w7 (I know JL is overpriced) and was wondering if anyone heard of the amp or company in general. Im happy with the setup and it hits harder than I need without sacrificing quality like some of my friends amps but Im just wondering about its reputation among audiophiles. Thanks

I ran all Soundstream amps in my '85 GT for over 15 years. They were stable and had no probs at all. I was happy with them. I had those darn things all over the car. Two under drivers seat, two under passenger seat, and two in the back where the stock speakers were. They were a HUGE step up from the old days of the EQ / Booster I had prior (were talkin' late '70s here pepes)

Well, now that I have relived my past for all to see, keep this in mind. If you like the amps, who cares what I think

I have heard a lot of good things about soundstream. I would love to get my hands on a "little wonder"

I've seen some of the old soundstream reference class A stuff do some amazing things. Those amps had a reputation of dying young if played hard though. I've never owned one myself.
