amp problems

i just put a jensen vm9311 mulitmedia headunit in my car, for some reason when im on radio, the amps on, but when it switches over to cd/dvd/aux the amp shuts off... i know i can run a switch to the amp but is there any other way?

you probally have the amp turn on wire hooked to the power antenna wire on the h/u

El Correcto!

Don't worry man these things happen, I have seen lots of people say they have a defective cd player because they had some wiring backwards. It's a problem you can laugh and learn about, the good type of problem in working with electronics.
