Not sure of a '98, but as I recall, there are fusesunder the dash for the amps. I pulled them out (in fact the ENTIRE system) a few weeks back. Seems to me there were two 20 amp fuses. Check your little manual, that is where I looked. The Mach 1000 has big fuses under the hood by the battery.

off the top of my head I wouldn't know and would need to check my manual to find out....
When I think I have a blown fuse I normally just test EVERY fuse in the box as it often takes less time the trying to find out what circuit that is on. And then often the link them into other circuits so your dome light fuse that is blown, could be causing your problem. Don't forget the fuses under the hood either.......
