Default Identifying my stock system...

I just bought a 2003 Mustang, 3.8 V6, and i'm trying to figure out what kind of system it has. I'm not much of a car audio person but would like to know what I have, for future reference. Basically I was just wondering if this is the mach system that I see mentioned, forgive my ignorance.

I believe the Mach systems have the words "Mach *360 or 1000*" written across the head unit?

it looks like a standard radio but the only real way to tell is to pull the radio and see what hrns is on the back. Takes 2 secs to pull the radio with the proper tools, ford radio removal keys($10 at an autoparts store). Take the radio out and take it to a local shop to match up ahrns and get a kit. Parts should be around $30 and it is too easy to pay anyone to install.

We can get you through it, what are you wanting to do?

I'm not in any kind of rush, I basically just need a method of connecting my mp3 player to my car, but I would need a new headunit unless I went with an FM transmitter. I'm probably going to test out a decent FM transmitter first, even though I know i'm not going to get as good quality out of FM as I could with an auxiliary input.

Do you have a pair of amps mounted underneath the speaker box in the trunk? I had a 460 and this is where they were mounted. I figure the 1000 has the same location, but bigger amps.

nope, no amps in the trunk, so i'm assuming it's a standard system?

It looks like that deck has cd changer controls so you can probably get an aux input hrns and use that for your ipod. It will cost a few bucks extra but sound better.

I wouldn't call it "funny" as much as "different"..... Funny makes you laugh and there is nothing funny about a grown man in a leather thong!

BTW = By The Way (more than likely you already know that, but just in case)
Your mama..... (fill in the blank) is my rip of the day.

Now that I have explained a joke that is no longer funny (maybe only mildly amusing to begin with) I am going to go to work now.
