Go away
wasnt aware of later infinitys being crap..... also wasnt aware of mb quart being bought by RF (they were SUCH good speakers too)
rockfords were consistantly getting better (at least up until they came out with the newer style speakers a couple years ago)..... after 1996 they were still doing a few basic lines all with pulp/paper cones and they kicked ***. back when it was RF series, then Punch, then Power Punch's - those things KICKED ***.

You know....
I was just at best buy looking for a wireless mouse for work, and I browsed over to the car audio section. I hadn't looked there in quite a while, and I was shocked to see the beloved type R 12 for $225!!!!!!
I thought to myself, self, there have got to be close to 10 subs I can think of off the top of my head that would blow away the Type R for the money.

You can still do better for the money!!!!!
ED K series for instance.
If you love your type R's, then why argue. I have heard the type R's and really wasn't impressed. I don't think they are terrible, but you can do better for the money.

It's not that I LOVE the Type R's.I would be more than happy to pull that out of my trunk and replace it with somthing better (for the same $$)but noone can seem to suggest anything. Nothing mentioned so far is as cheap as the Type R other than the EDK series sub. Honostly I'd have to hear that one to believe it was better.Plus with the ED subs they don't say what size the subs are on the site. How do I figure that out? Is there anything else that out performs the Type R or is that it?
