electric problem

Default electric problem

i just bought an 86, and im haveing a power window and door lock problem,

ive checked the fuses, and curuit breakers, andything else i could be missing,

i also followed wires from the switches to the connectors to make sure they were hooked up, since i dont have an owners manual

Break out a voltmeter and see if the motors are getting power when you hit the switch and make sure the switch is getting power and keep working yourself back until you find the break in power

still sounds like a relay is not working or maybe the motors are fried. agree with mdvaldosta check volts first

i guess i forgot to post here when i found the problem, its not a relay, well maybe havent had a chance to check it, after i took the door off the problem was found, theres a peice of metal in there, that had rubbed the coating off a wire, and melted the rest of them together, its actually a pretty sight, all the colors of the wires in one big glob, im going to splice the wires back together where the parts are good, and replace the breaker for ****s and giggles
