door speaker problems
It might sound a little better if you use the correct polarity.
An easy way to test is to use a 9V battery on the terminals. When the touch the positive to positive and negative to negative, the cone of the driver will move outward. If you have them phased reveresed it will move inwards.

is there anyway i can find out the polarity of the wires on my car? i know that one hasa white stripe on itand the other has a green stripe on it but im not sure which is positive and which is negative.
well i went to the local auto shop and didnt get much help there from the mustang guy so i went into a local mobile audio store and they told me some interesting things..... in order to have aftermarket speakers on a 460 system u must gut the intire system and throw it out which means u have to buy a new deck (HU), new speakers, and a new amp if u want quality sound. sooooo its a little more money then i wanted to spend but i think im going to go ahead and do this because my only other option is to buy some new OEM speakers and i dont think i want that...and to PReal thanks for all the help, u gave me a lot of good info.... hopefully everything works out
