Will a 12" fit??
havent bought anything yet.... was wondering about the sound quality though cause i cant really listen to sound clips of it due to it being a sub. I dont really want something that sounds like Type Rs cause they are more of a punch bass and i want quality bass.... any sugestions for something else... im gonna need something that has an RMS similar to that cause i only want to by one sub.
Shoving big speakers into a tiny space does not = good sound.
IMO and based on my own experience, scrap the 2 12" idea or even the single 12 and go with a 10" or two 8". A properly built enclosure with enough volume is far better sounding and can reach higher decibles that shoving big or many speakers into a tiny space. There's different enclosure types (1st order, 2nd order, 3rd, order, etc bandpass) as well as different speaker characteristics. Some are designed specifically to be used in a ported enclosure, while others work best in a sealed enclosure, and even others work in an infinite baffle setup (no enclosure).
First figure out what type of music you listen to - type of enclosure used will impact sound characteristics (Boomy or tight)
Secondfigure out what type of box youneed/want and the amount of volume you have to work with.
Third, go buy the speaker(s)
fourth, build the enclosure

yeah i bought a kicker comp vr 12 and a kicker amp didnt even think that it wouldnt fit, could not find a box for nothing to fit! i found 1 box that i got to fit sideways, against the rear sidewall, it looks ok i guess, i may take the spare tire out and mount the sub in that spot or trade it for some 10's i dunno yet i need to build my own box also

One key aspect to remember is that if you design the box smaller then recommended specs, you will generally get better SQ with a small sacrifice in SPL. Also when in a smaller enclosure, you must provide more power to get the same amount of volume.
So, if you want SQ, buy a 12 and put in a small sealed box with morepower to drive it.
