Default radio reception

In the fall I will be attending college at Longwood which is in Farmville Va. It is about 60 miles southwest of Richmond and out of reach of any good radio stations. Is there anything that I can buy to pick up stations while I am there without have toput on a huge floppy antenna.

The FM boosters are worthless........

Ya I was kinda hoping I did'nt have to get sattelite radio. Even with a job in college money is still gonna be tight.

15 ft whip antenna(with a tennis ball)? Really you can't make radio stations where there are no signals......
