2 ohms or 4?
Whats the difference looking at the new rockford subs.
I want going to put a system in my new car but oh well the amp is in my room. Hifonics Zues Gen XI.
So what the hell is the difference and what should i look for?

Theirs no difference other than their resistance. At a 2 ohm load on your amp (if your amp is stable at that load) your gonna be putting nearly twice the wattage to the speakers than what the amp is rated for. If the subs are single voice coil and your using two of them (2 ohms), you have a choice of running the combo to your amps at 4 ohm or 1 ohm depending on how you wire them.
Back in the day when I ran an old PPI Art series amp it was only 4 ohm stable, so I ran 2 kicker comp 8 ohm speakers into a 4 ohms to get the right load. If your speakers are dual voice coil then you have a sh*t ton of combo's you can make.

no it just means you can change the ohm load using different wiring setups. What you need to do is find out what kind of ohm load you want to run to it, and then get a speaker combination to cater to that.
