All the edi stuff in 6.5 inches. I would double check the size of the stocks. If all else fails, run a 5.25 comp set.

You will want to upgrade the subs also. A 4 channel amp and a sub would work witha set of comps.

The sound deadening would cover the outer door skinand the inner door skin.

So if my speakers are 6x8 or 5x7, can i make them fit or will they only fit if they are 6x8? and where in the site will ED make a custom baffle to mount the woofer and tweet in the 6x8 location.

6x8 is basically the same size as 5x7. you can make the 6.5s fit NO problem. many people are running 6.5s in 5x7 locations. i would drop down one notch on the components, add some sound deadener, and get a new sub and box. then get the 4 channel amp. Preal know what he is talking about. listen to him.

So what you're saying is that 6.5" will fit right in? no custom work needed? Because that would be great.

noo. you still need an adapter plate. but other than that they will fit. they won't just bolt right in.

I have helped a number of people on this forum through installing 6.5 comps. It is really pretty easy.

The Mustang 5x7/6x8 opening is big, if there is any trimming needing done, it's minimal in order to get some 6.5 components to fit.

you do not need to trim it for the 6.5's if you use a 1\2" mdf baffle. I have done it a million times in a mustang and never had a problem.

Here is how I did them in my truck with a simple enclosure.

What is that material you made the baffle with? Where can i get it? Ever worked on a new edge? If so how hard is it to get to the front speakers?
