You cant (shouldn't) just add a tweeter, you need a crossover. And the ones built into the mach amps, is junk. If your going through this much you might as well get a component system. Or just leave your Mach tweeters in for the time being.
Ideally what I'm hoping for is that I'm happy with the mach 460 system with the addition of the 2 JL Audio 10's and 1000 watt amp. If not, I'll start looking at gutting the entire system and starting fresh. I've already gotten compliments on how crisp and clean it sounds since I added the new head unit so I'm hoping just adding some more bass will complete it (wishful thinking).

Yeah Just adding a head unit can make a big difference with the Mach system.

Yeah, it sure did. The only downfall is that it killed about 80% of the bass. Everything else sounds incredible.

if your amp is sending 160x2 to each sub, it is not a 1000 watt amp. it might say it on the front. but it isn't. probably not even 1000w Max.

The specs on it's 1000 watts peak power. It pushes 170 watts RMS to each of the 2 channels so that's all I care about. It's enough to do what I need it to do and then some.

Word, when you decide to upgrade, that amp would be great on some comps.

then refer to the amp as a 170x2 amp. and not a 1000watt amp!
