broken antenna, kind of...
When installing a new headunit last summer, I acidentally pulled too ahrd on the factory head unit when trying to unplug the antenna. Well the tab broke off in the headunit, thus preventing me from being able to plug the antenna back into my new headunit. This leaves me without AM or FM on the car. It hasn't been a major problem because I still have the CD / MP# capabilities as well as XM radio. But I would like to know if there is a way to cut the antenna and add another plug to it so that I can use it again.
Is that possible? If so, is it expensive or worth the hassle? Is there any other solution?

as long as there is enough length, it is not a big deal to solder a new end on if you know how to use a solder iron. For some reason I am thinking though that there is a disconnectable piece in the SN95 like you and I have and you could simply pull the bad piece out, solder it outside of the car and the put it back. The only other way to fix it would be to replace the antenna. If you reaplce it at the fender it would be a little bit of work to mount it and re-run it. You could however get a strip antenna as it is made to be stuck up under the dash or out of site.
