Mach 460 Problem (yes another one)
Hello all,
I have been searching around alot and have not found a answer yet, though I have found similar if not Identical Questions.
Problem:
I do not get any sound from my stock Mach 460 sound system, UNLESS I turn it all the way up, then you can faintly hear sound through the tweeters
Back-round:
I used to have a Pioneer radio in there, with the line level converter to make it work with the Mach system
All my stereo Equipment was stolen while I was deployed in Iraq (all factory components left)
I put my factory radio back in and now have the problem. The only difference is, it was the system with the separate CD player which I no longer have. Does the system with the CD player in the second slot stock, need to have the CD player in to work due to any wiring?
Troubleshooting done:
Unplugged each speaker one at a time to make sure none were bad
Checked all connectors to make sure they were good and not lose
Checked fuses
I am pretty much stuck now, any help would be appreciated.

You might need the CD player I have a 2000 and have the Tape/Radio in the top deck and CD player on the bottom. If I remember you need the CD player for the stock amps to work. I had the same problem. Your best bet is just buying a cheap headunit because I think the stock CD player runs a lil over 100 bucks
??? just said it works good now, I needed to put the CD player in becuase there is a diffrence in the stereo wirring harness between ones with and without a cd
