Default new subs and amp

I have the mach 460 in my 95 GT. Is the mach 460 system the same in all years? From what I hear the speakers are pretty good, but I want more bass. I was originally looking at JL audio...but I think they're a little out of my range. Could I get a good quality amp, 1 or 2 subs and whatever else I need for 600? Also, just wondering what a capacitor does. I know they hold voltage but...how does it help the sound system?

Alright well I'll see what I can find on ebay. I like your setup in the spare tire well MD. Did you have to seal the inside too? or just cover the top?

I have 2 12" infinity reference series subs being pushed by an 800 watt Kenwood amp. I paid 200 for the amp, 100 for each sub, and 60 for the box. I picked up the amp at best buy, and the subs and box at circuit city. for under $600 you could get a set up like what I have, plus all the wiring needed. Just make sure to shop around, and if shopping ebay make sure to check the sellers feedback. Good luck!

its got a 1/4" board laid over the spare tire will and thats fiberglassed over. Its sealed up but not completely air tight - like around the wire hole - kinda like a little port
