Ohhh got it. But I dont think $210 and $145 is bad? I think the ORIGINAL prices are complete bulls*** haha. And remember laser... I've already heard this amp in a buddy of mine's car and it sounded reallygood and performs just as well. I was the same way about most all Sony products. Well I still am, exceptI like this oneamp now. But you know what Im saying? Around$355 is pretty good, specially when a Rockford sub is included in the mix, dont you think? And keep in mind I only want more bass, so I might as well go all out on it. If I wanted I could throw in the 4 speakers all around and get the new HU and still be under my budget so who knows.
I honestly think that is is a terrible deal. If you have a grand to spend, get an Elemental designs Nine.1, a Fi car audio BTL 12", putthesub ina ported enclosure built to spec, buy a cheap profile 2 channel amp, CDT comps for $100 from woofersetc, and havea great sounding full range system. I could outperform that rockford and sony stuff for half the price in terms of SQ or SPL...

Yep.. Dont doubt profile amps.. US Acoustics arent that bad either, and I think for the price are better than sony.. However I have heard some decent sony systems..

Yea I have NO idea what any of that is. haha never heard of any of those brands either... and when you say "I could outperform that rockford and sony stuff for half the price in terms of SQ or SPL" is that an OR? Or would all that be better in BOTH categories, SQ and SPL? And remember, bass is the focus. Any speakers would be a bonus but not necessary. Butif you say all that stuff is better, then feel free tohook a bro up and pricethat beeitchout I would need to know everything Im going to need to get up and running.

P, time for that $250 wall isn't it?! He wants loud, he wants cheap! Im thinking 6-12" wall on the backseat...

Wait how much will this cost? Thats right $150!
And 2 sheets of MDF, $40. Under $200 and that will be some serious bass

Ohh but I didn't mention yet the 8 cube box he'll need. It'll be plenty loud though!

This would give you great bass and also some good full range audio. I hope you have an aftermarket head unit (CD player)

Front Speakers: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=5207$100

Front amp: http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/2217$75

Sub: Fi BL 12 https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraud...iew.shopscript$260

Sub amp: http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=44$365

Wiring and box $100

That totals $900.

With new exhaust coming relatively soon I'm starting to doubt getting new speakers even more than before... that sounds like a crazy setup. I might go with that sub and amp though, sounds like what Im looking for. The only reason Im not 100% on it yetis because it'sa little on the expensive side... If I was going to go with just a sub onstock speakers, the budget is going down too. Probably to about 600 after wiring, box, sub, amp, and head unit (by the way, Im not THAT dumb to the point that I dont know what a head unit is/what it does haha). So that rockford is starting to sound pretty good right about now just because I wont need as big of an amp, costing less money. Is it gonna sound THAT much different for that much more money?

I agreed you are dropping a grand and you are buying a sony amp and rockford amps? That's sad that is the same as driving a V6 mustang! WEAK! dude buy some real subs, Kicker's Compvr at the least or Alpine Type R's.

My setup

Apline 9856 HU
2 10 type R's in a custom build box that fits flush with my trunk
custom build amp rack

Yea I've always liked those type R's and Alpine in general. I just thought that Rockford was a higher quality sub? Takes more power to run em and they're more expensive,so shouldn't theybe better? I've never heard a Type R CRANKED, only at low volumes, and it sounded pretty good. And I know lots of peoplein my area run Type R's, so they must be good.I've never even heard a Rockford. So I dont really have much to work off of...

ALSO. Is it better to run a little more power to your sub then reccomended? Like if a sub calls for 600watts RMS but then I run a 700RMS amp to it...
