Default Head Unit Removal Tools

Bought my Mustang used and it has a aftermarket Kennwood headunit in it. Putting a system in it and need to remove it to hook up the audio cables to it but cant because i dont have the two tools to remove the unit. Does anyone know where i can get a set of the skinny two tools that you need to slide it out?

If it's aftermarket you shouldn't need the tools but you can get them usually at your local auto zone or whatever auto parts store are around you or at like a best buy or circut city!!!!!

you will need to find a kenwood dealer or an installer would probably have something that would work. If they would help you or not is up to them..........

Called our local Kenwood dealer and he said they cant just sell the tools for reasons of people just stealing steros. He also said that they do not have a set that i could borrow. I live on a island in a small town, we dont have any of the places named above here.

Now what can i do?

Pull out the whole bezel all together then bend back the prongs that hold it in place, thenyou can use a pick or screw driver to pop the locks once you can get to the side on the unit. It's just a pain because you need a hex and reach all the way back on the support piece the runs right below the cd player.
