Default About Remote Start....

Im thinking about putting a remote start in my 2000 Mustang GT. Its standard. And i the only fear i have with remote start is that i will start it one day and it will take off ! Any opinions ? Besides leaving it in neutral. Cuz i already know that.

first you will have a very hard time finding anyone to assume the liability of putting a remote start on a manual. If you leave it in gear and it jumps you could damage the car, you could kill someone...

It is not best to put a remote start on a stick.........

Go to a real audio shop and get a good alarm system. Next week I am getting the top of line Compstar alarm with the LCD keypad and when my car is NOT in neutral a) it won't start 2) I can tell my looking at my remote plus about 2000 other cool features.

best case scenario if something goes wrong is that you will only scratch your bumper, maybe another car or a house.... Worst case scenario you go to start it and it lurches backward, out of the parking space, over a mothers stroller with her twin 2 month old babies, across the lane into an old pinto's trunk where it explodes, setting the bus full or orphans and nuns across from it on fire which of course would mean you are going to hell.

Is loosing your soul for eternity worth a neat little toy to get the ice of the windshield? If I lived in canada I would consider it, but they are doomed to hell just cause.......

I dont see any problem with it if you can remember to put the ebrake on all the time. If you already do it all the time its probably like second natureat this point. If you always leave your car out of gear and use your ebrake you wont have a problem. the worst you'll do is crank the car over and it will stall and die immediately if you do leave it in gear.

i do have a viper alarm system with remote start and its also a manual. ive never had a problem to date with it and my car has yet to up and roll away when i start it.
